Mapping things out

The History Channel had a special on a couple of weeks ago about maps and map making. It was critical to monarchs of the past to have accurate maps as they planned future wars. The same is true today: our troops use maps in addition to GPS to negotiate their way through hostile territory.

After the 2000 election, we are now divided: Red States and Blue States. Red States are known by those in Blue States as "flyover states" because it's that huge part of the country between New York and California.
